Resin is not steel

The first print exists to answer one question: do the proportions work in the hand. It cannot answer anything about finishing, weight, or how light behaves across a machined surface.

Held at the wrist, the case read well. The lugs did not. On screen they had looked elegant; in the hand they pushed the strap too far from the wrist and made the whole watch sit high.

What changed

Lug length came down. The curve was taken further, so the strap breaks earlier.

What comes next

A CNC case in steel, which will raise an entirely different set of questions — mostly about finishing, and about how much of the geometry survives contact with a real cutting tool.
